From Woodstock, New York comes an exciting new release from folk singer/songwriter in Biita Houdei. Houdei previously went under the name Le Ponds (discography can be found here) and was another folk based project, a little experimental but amazing. The gorgeous new single, The Ground Here, is a follow up to the equally beautiful Life Inside The Hourglass which released last month. Compared to Le Ponds, these two tracks are more straight forward, wonderfully crafted folk songs. In a year that saw releases from Ora Cogan and Maria BC, I’m waiting in anticipation for the release of this record. Houdei reminds me of Fleet Foxes in how the two singles sound and feel.
“This Bed Was Made For Me” was recorded over a span of 10 days and is set to drop September 18th from Father/Daughter Records and can be pre-ordered here
