[Photos] Cloud Nothings | Cross Stitch | Black Stallion | The Holland Project | Reno, NV | June 07, 2026

October 8th, 2010 was the last time I was able to see Cloud Nothings perform. That show at Bottom of the Hill was incredible. I remember doing a backstage interview with Dylan for my old website but I can’t seem to find this file anymore. Hey Cool Kid is what got me started on the band and I owned all the early cassettes and splits. This was also right before the band exploded once Pitchfork gave their BNM label in 2012 for their record Attack On Memory. It became impossible to see them live at that point, even at SXSW in 2014, there was no chance getting in. So, to see them play Reno some 16 years later was amazing (I bought tickets day 1, I was not missing this show!). Finally getting to experience Wasted Days live blew my mind.

First time getting to experience Cross Stitch live and I was not disappointed. They were the perfect band to follow Blackstallion and lead into Cloud Nothings. The energy was nonstop and the music loud. Hopefully I can see them live again soon. Definitely not a band to miss.

Opening the Cloud Nothings show, Blackstallion put on an incredible live performance; one that I’m still buzzing about almost a week later. I absolutely loved every second of their set. Such an amazing group of musicians that Nathan has put together.
