Overcxst is a new band to the Reno music scene, having played their first show last October at Midnight Coffee. The alt rock trio consist of Owen Davis on vocals and guitar, bassist Jake Lopez (also of Mantis Men) and Caroline Baughman on drums. Their latest single Prayers dropped earlier this year and follows up two solid singles released last Fall. Yesterday saw the exciting announcement of their debut s/t EP, set to be unleashed May 29th. The band specialize is emotionally drenched lyrics over bass heavy melodies and frantic rhythms. Overcxst are an incredibly exciting band coming out on the scene and I’m excited to watch them grow and develop.
