Go Kurosawa was the drummer/vocalist and one of the masterminds behind Japanese psych rock outfit Kikagaku Moyo, who unfortunately went into the dreaded indefinite hiatus status. As heartbroken as I was about learning this news a few years ago, the individual members themselves have started to release their solo projects. Kurosawa’s LP titled Soft Shakes was released last year and differs greatly from what came before. The album is more electronic and acoustic than what I was expecting and it took a few listens for me to come around to what Kurosawa was doing. It ended up being one of my favorite albums of 2025 and yesterday a new music video was released for the track titled Moon, Please.
