As soon as I think I’ve got a grip on the massive Reno music scene and have found most of the bands and artists, I learn about a new one the next day. This is Memory Circle, an indie psychedelic/folk band who released a new s/t album yesterday. The album starts off with a groovy instrumental piece before going into the more psych depths of their arrangements the deeper the album goes. Lisboa is the longest track out of the six but I feel it represents the band’s sound the best. It’s a fantastic debut album and checks off all the boxes for me. I’m not entirely sure when the band’s next show will be but I will be scanning venue calendars like a hawk.
