Spencer Kilpatrick’s “Dog Run” is one of my favorite albums of the year. I have a review coming shortly but I just can not stop praising this record. Spencer has been a huge driving force in Reno’s music scene for some time and has released a massive amount of music between his solo work and band projects. When I approached Kilpatrick to record a video session with some tracks from “Dog Run”, I didn’t realize that he hadn’t played them since the recording until he shared that information with me while setting up. What we hear on the album is organic and a genius on his guitar and the songs we recorded I feel reflect his artistry and song writing so well. Below is Part 1 from our session.
