First time getting to check out Ranger and was blown away. I knew these guys were good from my countless hours spent listening to their album this year but was completely floored by their performance. The vocal harmonization, the layers of sound, the added depth from the saxophone and synths, everything about the set was top notch. I’ll definitely be checking out their set at Off-Fest in a few months.
What I thought was going to be a solo set from It’s Not Cute Anymore’s lead vocalist Keely Nesbit, turned out to be an amazing three-piece side project from Nesbit which featured two members from INCA with Conner Fissell on drums and Chris Retellack on cello & guitar. The set was majority original material and featured two covers. The songs were beautifully written and composed and having only three practice sessions prior to the show, I thought the performance was lovely.
