I don’t even know where to begin with this set. Starcrawler were amazing… absolutely amazing. I hadn’t seen this band live before but from the very first note The Alpine erupted and never eased up until the house lights and music came on. I hope a live album or recording gets released at some point because this band bring their albums to life and it’s one of those things where you need to experience it.
Amazing set from LA’s Sluttony. Their style of garage punk/grunge was incredible to see live and got the whole crowd ready for headliners Starcrawler. I can see why this band was invited to tour with them. Their raw energy and ferocious performance was unrelenting and unreal.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a local band open a massive show at The Alpine. I had seen Negative Association a few months ago at Holland Project and thought they were incredible then. Fast forward a few months and the amount of work they put in for this show was amazing. They were so polished and performed so well, one would think this band had been around for decades. They owned the stage and fed off the energy from the crowd, cheering on our local hero’s.
