Last week, the new single Bobby from Roy Mustang dropped and it’s an incredible new track from a talented group of musicians. The single is a follow up to the band’s debut EP, Static Skin, which released last December and can be found here. The band make heavy guitar alt-rock but this doesn’t completely do the band justice. The guitars may dominate at first but distilling the song’s structure down (this is also true for the EP), there are flowing melodies which weave together alongside vocal harmonies that link up perfectly for maximum impact during the hooks. While the EP may be a solid outing, Bobby has elevated the band a step higher in regard to songwriting and composition. August 21st can not come soon enough.
