A few days ago, Cold Cave dropped this excellent remix to Messa’s track At Races which features off the band’s 2025 album “The Spin“. Messa’s signature scarlet doom sound and been swapped for danceable, moody electronica, yet Cold Cave remained true to the source material. The vocal melodies that I love so much are all there, the peaks and troughs of the track still hit at the right times and the track still makes my blood pulsate through my veins. If Cold Cave did a mini-EP of Messa remixes, I would be more than okay with that.
