A few days ago, one of my favorite new labels in Dandyboy Records announced the release of a new EP from Oakland’s Twin Bloom. The single Magazine Dream is blissful, melodic indie rock some with elements of new wave thrown in. It’s a delightful track, bright yet complex in a way where my ears pick up something new each time I give it a listen. Dandyboy is on a tear so far this year, with releases from Kelley Stoltz, Yea-Ming and The Rumours, above me, SOFT JAW and Karenin’s Smile all coming out within the last few months.
