Randa Shoukry’s only available single as a solo artist is an enjoyable listen and I absolutely love it. The track brings post-punk basslines and silky guitars, blended in with dream-pop synths and vocals to create this incredibly bright, danceable and delightful track. Shoukry is currently the guitarist in the all-female backing band for Donia Wael (who is pushing boundaries and making waves in the Cairo indie music scene, interview can be found here). I really do hope there is more music coming soon from this talented musician. Her sound is something I connect with and can’t ever get enough of.
