[Reno] Noah Linker – In Stone / Lucky

Last night, I was researching and listening to some music I am prepping for an upcoming feature series (I’m very much excited to reveal this venture, it’s music I’m incredibly passionate about) when I received three notifications from Bandcamp letting me know that Noah Linker had released some new music. I put my project aside and went to his page to check out what had dropped. In my last post, I was blown away by the track Notes which was released last summer and ever since I had been eagerly awaiting some new music from this talented musician and songwriter.

The three songs were written and recorded by Noah Linker with co-production and percussion credits going to Faint Shape bandmate and drummer Daniel England. Each song showcases a different element in Linker’s repertoire of music writing and composition. The lyrics are well written and his vocals are top notch. The dreamy and somber indie-pop In Stone / Lucky is in stark contrast to the fast paced and heavier track I Like The Cars, which is then rounded out with a beautiful alternative track in Garden Song. It was difficult to pick one to feature but I went with In Stone / Lucky because the keys incorporated into the song added that little extra depth, in addition to Linker’s incredible vocal range heard throughout the track.
