[Beyond] Wild Pink – Round Of Applause At The End Of The World

New York’s Wild Pink is a new artist for me and after receiving a notification from Fire Talk’s Bandcamp about a new single released, I decided to check it out. With a s/t debut album coming in 2017, the band, lead by singer/songwriter John Ross have been fairly prolific. Since that release, Wild Pink have produced four more albums, a cover album (which features a somber rendition of the Jeopardy theme song) and a plethora of singles. With this extensive discography it would take some time for me to get through it all but for someone who enjoys the likes of Kurt Vile and The War On Drugs, it was easy to get attached to the top songs listed on Qobuz as my entry point. As I always do with a LTTP find, I’m going to slowly sift through the material and absorb this music in over several weeks. I love the music I’ve heard so far, and the latest single from a new LP set to release in August, is just as strong as what’s come before.

The new LP, “Still Coming Down” can be pre-ordered here and is set to release August 21st on Fire Talk Records
