Cincinnati’s Spoils are a new band for me but the alt rock quartet have been releasing music since 2022 (according to Bandcamp). I learned of the band through a post on New Commute and I’m so glad I did. From beginning to end, their new album titled Mile Wide Inch Deep is pure joy. The track I gravitated to the most was Brain Damage; I am obsessed with the melodies that make up the chorus, in addition to it’s overall arrangement and heartbreaking lyrics. I’ll be keeping a close eye on how this band develops because they have a solid foundation to build from.
