Buff is a track from Reno’s Blackstallion and features on their latest LP titled 5000, released last November. There are two versions of Buff out now. The re-record version on this album is now backed by a full band and has a more heavy, shoegazey influence. The lo-fi acoustic version can be found on the 2016 debut titled Zolpidem. I’m a huge fan of what Blackstallion has been doing with each new release as his musical styles grow and develop. Where his 2024 album Foolish Mind was predominantly chilled out and mellow, 5000 is fast-paced and energetic.
