Rest is the newest single from Cairo’s alt/prog rock band As We Sleep. The single, along with their prior release Scam are set to feature on an upcoming and highly anticipated EP, releasing on Memphis Records later this year. The duo consist of singer/songwriter Nourhan Fayed and guitarist Mohamed Rajab who’s music create atmospheric blends of dream-pop and indie alternative. Fayed’s vocals on both tracks are lovely and brings so much emotion to the two tracks. I’m envious of those who get to experience them live in Cairo right now. This is definitely a band I would be queuing up to see whenever they played.
