Reno’s No Assumption are a fast paced new wave punk band that I’m finding hard to take a break from. They currently have two tracks out, Can’t Sleep and What’s Your Favorite Beer? with the later being their most recent release. The band are also prepping their debut EP titled “Dude, You Ruined It!” which will feature two new recordings in addition to two live tracks. The EP is set to drop May 29th and I can’t wait to give it a listen. From the two singles alone, I’m a huge fan of this up and coming band; No Assumption is definitely a name to keep an eye out for in the local music scene.
The band will be live at Greenhouse on May 28th with locals It’s Not Cute Anymore and Sacramento’s The Pretty Boys as well as on May 30th with Damned of Eden (Santa Cruz), Matthew Ferguson Andrews (Elk Grove), and locals Long Jump and Rotten Heights. Two exceptional shows in only a few days time.
