As I’m getting ready to see Cold Cave perform Cremations in Los Angeles September 11th (I know I know, this is months away) as well as Deceits coming to Reno May 29th, I’m in full darkwave, post-punk mode right now. The timing of Virginia’s ACITYASLEEP’s latest single couldn’t have come at a better time. I was first put onto his music through Reno’s An Identity via their collaboration this past March and I was instantly hooked. ACITYASLEEP is a master at creating atmospheric songs with melodies that stick in your head for days on end. Déjà Vu is no exception. It’s another stellar entry in an expansive discography that is blowing my mind.
