I had the pleasure of checking out an all Reno lineup this past Friday and I was not disappointed by any of the bands that performed. I featured Little Dad last week, so today I wanted to highlight It’s Not Cute Anymore. The band blend indie/alternative with some shoegaze and math rock and the end result is an incredible sound. I was very impressed with their live performance as they sounded excellent and polished. I did notice some familiarity with their line up as their bassist Chris Retallack and guitarist Nathan Retallack play in a jazz-infused rock band name Nightbrain which I saw at Reno’s Off-Beat Music Festival last October.
So far, all I could find in regards to posted music is this wonderful live recording from a local podcast titled Worst Little Podcast released last March. There are some videos on YouTube of another live performance which I recommend checking out as well. Very excited about this band and can’t wait to see what else they have in store.
