When I had started up my first music blog back in 2009 (2010? dates escape me now) one of the first bands I covered was Woodsman and their brand of Colorado psychedelia. I was huge supporter of Fire Talk Records back then but had lost track of what they had going on when the blog closed a few years later and took a long break from music due to life and adulting.
I was introduced to Lots of Hands through the Holland Project’s announcement that they would be touring through Reno this Spring. I was happy to see Fire Talk still going strong and brought back a bit of nostalgia for me. I find it fitting to cover another Fire Talk artist so early in the life of this new venture and I absolutely love this band. The album came out in January of 2025 and it is fantastic. It’s wonderfully mellow and dreamy, weird and whimsical.
