Primitive Ring is a new Los Angeles garage rock ensemble consisting of Charles Moonheart (Charlie and the Moonhearts, GØGGS, Fuzz, Ty Segall Freedom Band, CFM), Bert Hoover (Hooveriii) and Jon Modaff. Since 2025, the trio have released 4 excellent singles which can all be found here. Yesterday saw the announcement of their s/t release on In The Red Records which is due out May 15th. May 23rd will see the band perform at Lo-Bar Social with local Reno support from Church Ladies. Definitely a show not to be missed.
