I’ve been a huge fan of John Andrews for a minute now. I adored his previous band Quilt tremendously (I do hope at some point a new albums comes about, I’m not giving up hope!) but his solo work released on Woodsist was also very strong. I listened along for his 2015 and 2017 releases but I, shamefully, lost track of what he has been doing since Bad Posture. However, since getting back into this music blogging thing, I’ve rediscovered John Andrews and thankfully, his sound is as good as ever.
A few days ago saw the release of a new music video and next single off his upcoming album, Streetsweeper. It’s a tender song, with soft drumming and guitars, with lyrics that hit a little too close to home. The album drops April 3rd from Earth Libraries and can be found here
